I live in Brazil's 6th largest city. Curitiba is on the same latitude south of the equator that Orlando, Florida is to the north. Situated 3000 feet up on a rolling plateau that extends to farmland to the west, the altitude is responsible for cool, growing green winters and pleasant summers. To the east, the beautiful Serra de Mar ("Sawteeth by the Ocean") densely forested range of mountains climb up to 7500 feet and then dip their toes in the Atlantic ocean which is an hour's drive away from my city.
